Aaron Gadsby, Lead Pastor
Pastor Aaron is from Western Pennsylvania and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1998. He married his high school sweet heart, Casey…in fact they were in the same kindergarten class! They have three beautiful daughters; Cynthia, Iliana, and Lucy Jean. Another unique thing about him is that he is an identical twin. His brother teaches American History at Lakeview.
In 2004, Aaron earned a bachelor of science degree from Slippery Rock University, graduating summa cum laude, and was privileged to be the recipient of the Warren T. Strain Award for outstanding senior in geography. He, and his family, moved to South Carolina in 2006 where he worked for Oconee County, South Carolina and held a variety of positions including County Planner and Deputy Director of Community Development. In 2013, he completed graduate studies at Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi where he received a master of divinity degree with a concentration in teaching higher education. In that same year he was ordained as a minster in the Wesleyan Church.
In 2014 he partnered with several others and started Resource Haiti Inc., a 501 c 3 non-profit corporation. Resource Haiti’s mission is to offer the living hope of Christ in Haiti through preaching, education, and community development initiatives in partnership with churches and individuals in the United States.
Aaron loves being the pastor at Mountain View and believes God has a place for you here. He hopes to see you soon.
Jill Hellwig, Director of Children's Ministries
Jill was raised in rural northwestern New Jersey, but since she married a Marine, she has called many other places home! She graduated from The College of New Jersey with a degree in Deaf Education and taught hearing and deaf children for several years in both Virginia and North Carolina. She then earned a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from East Carolina University. She loved being a school-based speech therapist in Maryland for six years prior to moving to Bushkill Township in the summer of 2016. Since then, she has been working as a stay-at-home mom and wife to her husband Josh and three daughters. She enjoys singing, entertaining, spending time with her extended family, and being a group fitness instructor.
Jill is so blessed and excited to be placed in this role that merges her faith in Christ and love for working with children. She has served previously as children’s director at her church in North Carolina, and as a Sunday School teacher and the Cherub Choir director at her church in Maryland. She believes strongly in empowering the children to take action to make change whether it is within their own church, local food banks, schools, or with our partner church in Haiti. Look for service opportunities for our children throughout the year!
If you are interested in serving our children and young adults, please contact Jill for more information.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." ~Matthew 19:14
